Kalyana Mastu Venues, March 9

Traditional gaiety, splendor and grandeur marked the Kalyanamastu celebrations through out the state on Sunday Morning. Couples, Parents and their relations reached the venues well in advance since the morning 7 AM. Started at 9 AM at all centres, the celebrations continue till 11 AM with all traditional gaiety. 120 Couples tied their knot at Lalita Kala Toranam at Hyderabad. Governor N.D.Tiwari, and Chief Minister Y.S.Rajasekhara Reddy attended and blessed the couples. Home Minister Jana Reddy, TTD Chairman Karunakar Reddy, MLA Kishen Reddy and others took part during the celebrations. Star Couple Raja Sekhar and Jevita presented new cloths and silver kumkum boxes to the couples.
At Tirupati 56 Couples solemnized their marriages. TTD officials took part in the occasion and message from Rajasekhar Reddy, Chief Minister was read out.


Mishap Mars Festivity in East Godavari Dist.

Despite careful and vigilant arrangements some mishaps marred the celebrations. Death of two people by electrocution made people of karapa Mandalam in East Godavari Ditrict sad. Tekumudi Krishna Prasad aged 25, Driver and Galidevara Raju aged 30, accomplice of MLA of Tallarevu Dommeti Venkateswarlu died when they tried to install a big campaign hording of their mentor. Electric wire came in contact with the pipes of Hoarding thus flames raised, and both of them electrocuted and fallen in the canal. MLA Dommeti fainted himself immediately on hearing the news.

Minor Couples and Older ones alike

Minors and old people alike, all are same in the vision of Lord. This is once again proved in this Kalyanamastu like previous programme. Most of the couples are minors and even age old people also married during this programme. More than 50 out of 141 couples at kataram in kareemnagar districe are married earlier. Two minor girls are tied their knots.

Mother & Daughter at a time

Durgam Sammayya and Lakshmi of Royyuru in Yeturu Nagaram mandalam married themselves again. Their marriage was not performed grandly and as such they marry again now, they stressed. Many astonished to find that their daughter Malati's marriage is also performed through this programme with Gogineni Ravi on the same venue.
