Chief Minister Y.S.Rajasekhara Reddy described the Kalyanamastu programme initiated by TTD as a social & sacred event. TTD has completed arrangements for third Kalyanamastu programme through out the state organized at Mesha Lagnam in Uttarabhaadra Star between 9.20 AM and 9.35 hours, where in 7000 couples throughout the state solemnized. Kalyanamastu is unique solution to the problems faced by poor for completing the marriages of their children due to financial burden, added chief minister. This programme will continue forever, congratulated the couples.
Governor N.D.Tiwari would be visiting the programme at Lalita Kala Toranam. TTD Chairman Karunakar Reddy, EO Ramanachari invited Governor on Saturday. Kalyanmastu held for the 1st time on 22nd February 2007, second Kalyanamastu on August 26th wherein 4685 and 8113 couples tied their knot.

TTD is spending about Rs. 8000/ per couple. Expenditure for Sacred wedding gold thread with two rounded blocks, silver mette, new cloths to couple, Marriage requirements, Devotional books, fees to priest, wedding photograph will be born by TTD. Free meal, Darshan, Accommodation at Tirumala also arranged to couples and their parents too. RTC announces concession of Rs. 100 on Rs.1000 ticket for honeymoon of the couples.
