The processional idol of the
Lord was taken out in a procession on Hamsa Vahanam

Hoisting of Nandi Pathakam on Dhwajastambham during 'Dhhawjarohanam'
ritual marked the commencement of the annual Brahmotsavams
of Sri Kapileswara Swamy at Kapila Thcertham temple here today.
Amid chanting of Siva Namams, the holy flag was hoisted by
the temple priests in accordance with 'Siva Agama' at the
predestined 'muhurtham' of'meenalagnam' at 7:49 a.m. Special
pujas were performed to the presiding devotee. Later in the
evening, the processional idol of the Lord was taken out in
a procession on Hamsa Vahanam.
Scores of devotees from the town and different parts of the
district participated in the rituals and offered prayers to
the processional deity during the procession. TTD officials
and elders of the town also participated in the procession.
On the third-day of the ongoing annual Brahmotsavams of Sri
Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy, the processional deity was taken
out in Simha Vahanam in the morning and on Muthyapu Pandiri
Vahanam in the evening.
Scores of devotees vied with one another to have a glimpse
of the mesmerizing sight of the Lord. Bedecked in precious
ornaments and led in front by elephants and 'bhaja brindams',
the Lord went around the temple, blessing the devout. TTD
