OV 'Ramaneeyam' at Kalyanamastu

Differences among various social groups in the TTD have come to light again. Episode during Vykuntha Ekadasi earlier is repeated during Kalyanamastu now. TTD Board Member O.V.Ramana boycotted the initial adoration programme preceding Kalyanamastu on Thursday. He expressed anguish at the indifferent attitude of officials against the traditions meted out to him as a Board Member. He was not invited to the Review programme held on Wednesday. He could not hide his angry over the incident. He lamented TTD officials by saying that he was being ignored intentionally. He recalled that during Vykuntha Ekadasi also he was not given proper respect, though two other Board members were received high honours. He was pacified then by assuring him that the incidents would not be repeated. He was taking active part after the assurance. But by not inviting him to Thursday Programmes pandora's box is again opened. He allege that in order to please one social group in TTD board, TTD officials are discriminating against him. TTD EO Ramachari on learning over that O.V.Ramana is dissatisfied, spoken to him over phone. He clarified that the Review programme was organized under the auspices of District Collector. While expressing regret for not inviting him for the meeting, Ramanachari tried to explain him that it is not intentional and TTD has any role in it. PRO Rama Pulla Reddy went to Ramana as EO's emissary,but in vain. Ramana said he would be boycotting all the programmes connected with Kalyana Maastu in future as a mark of protest. The incident exposes the differences between various social groups in TTD.
