In 'Sri Venkatachala Mahathyam' Lord Brahma became a cow,
Lord Siva became a calf and Si Lakshmi become a Yadava maid
and both the cow and calf were sold to Chola king by Sri Lakshmiil
a bid to provide milk to meditating Srinivasa in Venkatachalam.
There also He protected the cow frf the curse of its herdsman.
Overview
The Lord did it, we do it. Sri Venkateswara Gosamrakshana
Trust is established for p the cow and emphasizing the spiritual
importance of the cow apart from its economic aspect.
The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams proposes to create a modern
Gosala at Tirupati with alllj facilities for maintaining the
bovine population. Cow is the greatest blessing of human r;
grow rich, homes flourish and civilization advances where
the Cow is kept and cared for. The Ti also aims at improving
the living conditions of cows outside Goshala by providing
technical inputs| the general public.
The S.V. Dairy Farm, TTD, Tirupati supplies milk and curd
io all the TTD Temples for ritufl prasadams, Abhishekams etc.,
to the service institutions like S.V. Balamandir (Orphanage),
SV.Di and Dumb School, S.V. Training Centre for the Physically
handicapped, S.V. Poor Home (Lep Hospital) S.V. Vedapatasala,
S.V. Oriental College Hostel, TTD Hospitals, "Annadanam"
scheme! TTD etc.

an opportunity for the d to participate in Gosamrakshana with
their donations.
Donation
Amount
The minimum contribution for the scheme is Rs. 1 ,000/- Donation
amount sent below Rs. 1000/-will be credited to the account
of Srivari Hundi without any intimation to the donor. All
donationsai deposited in a Nationalised Bank, and the interest
earned is utilized for the scheme.
Donations can be made by way of cheque / demand draft on any
Scheduled Bank drawn! favour of the 'Executive Officer, Sri
Venkateswara Gosamrakshana Trust, TTD, Tirupati and canjf
sent to the Director, S.V. Dairy Farm (S.V. Gosamrakshana
Shala) Chandragiri Road, TTD, T 517 083 Ph. 0877 - 226 4570.
Individuals, firms, companies etc. can make donations, and
they are eligible for Income Tax benefit under Section 80
G of the Indian Income Tax Act.
Special Privileges for the Donors
* 5 Litres of Cow's Milk will be supplied for swami vari Ksheerabhishekam
in the name of the donor
(who donate Rs, 5 lakhs and more) on one fixed Friday in a
year.
* Donor's name will be displayed in Sri Venkateswara Gosamrakshana
Shala TTD, Tirupati.
* Donors will be honoured on one Gokulastami day during 'Gopooja'
celebration in S.V. dairy Farm, Tirupati with advance intimation.
They will be invited on every Gokulastami day to Gopooja.
