An Appeal
There is no place in the universe so sacred as Venkatadri.
No God is equal to Lord Venkateswara! either inthe past or
in the future. According to legends, as per the instruction
of Sri Yamunacharya, Sri Tirumala Nambi is said to have stayed
at Tirumala and initiated flower service to the Lord. Later
Ananata Suri, also known as Anantalwan was commanded by Sri
Ramanuja to establish a flower garden. He offered flower service
to the Lord, laying beautiful gardens with fragrant flowers
and Tulasi. Afterwards, several great devotees like Tarigonda
Vengamamba, kings and queens offered permanent flower service
to the Lord by establishing flower gardens at Tirumala. According
to inscriptions, there were over hundred flower gardens on
the seven hills.
Overview
Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams has introduced several schemes
to facilitate the devotees to perform flower service wherein
devotees can fulfil their vows through floral way. The flowers
utilised for Nitya pushpa kainkaryams are rose, chrysanthemum
scented geranium, nandhivardhanam, lotus. moravum, davana,
lilies, jaji, malli, kanakambaram, Mollelu, kuriveru, vetiveru,
mogili, vrikshi and thulasi. The cult flowers utilised on
festival occasions like Vaikunta Ekadasi, Ugadi, Pushpapallaki,
Brahmotsavam, Pushpayagam are roses, chrysanthemum, gerbera,
carnations, limonias, aster anthuriums, liliums, gladalious,
marygold, tuberose, orchids, goldenrod, Bird of paradise,
heliconias, asparagus, coconut flowers, arecanut flowers and
bunches.

GENERAL GUIDELINES TO THE
DONORS
*Donors can take Demand Draft / International Money Order
in the name of Executive Officer, Name of the Scheme Tirumala
Tirupati Devasthanams, Tirupati and send it to the respective
Officer incharge of the Donation Scheme, Tirumala Tirupati
Devasthanams, Tirupati - 517 083 Chittoor Dist. Andhra Pradesh.
*in case Demand Draft is taken in the name of Executive Officer.
TTD. Tirupati. please specify the name of donation scheme-in
the covering letter in order to credit the amount into that
Trust.
*Please furnish your complete address with telephone number,
fax number, e-mail address and mobile number for correspondence.
*After receiving donation an acknowledgement letter will be
sent to the donor immediately.
*A passbook will be sent to the Donors, which has to be shown
at every time of their visit. Hence, you are requested to
send photos to enable us to send a passbook.
*This passbook has to be shown at every visit to avail the
facilities listed in the donor scheme.
*The Donor can contact the Assistant Executive Officer, Donors
Cell, T.B. counter, Central Reception Office, TTD, Tirumala

*Donors can hand over Demand Drafts at any nationalized bank
at Tirumala, Donors Cell, TTD, Tirumala or Donors Cell, TTD
Admn. Building, Tirupati and obtain a receipt from there.
* Facilities to the Donor will come into effect after issue
of Donor's passbook only. However, in case any donor wants
to make a donation and requests for accommodation and darshan
on that day itself he may seek the assistance of Assistant
Executive Officer, Donors Cell, TTD, Tirumala / Deputy Executive
Officer Reception-l / Deputy Executive Officer (Reception-ll)
or Officer on Special Duty, TTD, Tirumala.
*Donations are also accepted in kind like gold, silver, instruments,
materials etc. Those who donate materials worth more than
Rs. 5 lakhs are also entitled to the benefits, which are extended
to the Donors in other donation schemes. Such donors are requested
to send a written intimation to the Executive Officer, TTD,
Tirupati in advance and obtain a receipt from the officer
whenever such donations are made.
*In case of any difficulty, the Donors are requested to seek
the assistance of the Office Incharge of the Donation Scheme.
