The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams has decided to dispense
with the presentation of three gm silver dollars to devotees
participating in Kalyanotsavam from February 3, due to administrative
reasons.
The move, however, only be for a temporary period.
As the tender process to procure the silver dollars is underway,
the TTD has decided to go with temporary dispensation of the
coins till the procurement process is completed.
The pilgrims are therefore requested to co-operate with the
TTD during the interim, according to a release.

Brahmotsavams from Feb 12

The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD)is making elaborate
arrangements for Sri Kapileswara Swamivari Brahmotsavams at
Kapilatheertham, which will commence from February 12 with
Ankurarpanam and concluded with Trisula Snanam and Dwajawarohanam
on February 22.
Dwajarohanam will be held on February 13 between 9 am and
9:36 a.m. in the auspicious Meena Lagnam.
Lord Kapileswara along with His Consort will be taken out
on different vahanams in a procession in the temple town every
night during the Brahmotsavams.

Jeeyar to Trek Tirumala Today

Tridandi Ramanuja Chinna Jeeyar will trek to Tirumala from
Alipiri on Friday and have the darshan of Lord Venkateswara.
In a brief interaction with mediapersons, here on Thursday,
Chinna Jeeyar said that he is taking up Vishnu Sahasranama
Parayanam for the benefit of mankind and global peace.
He, however, said that he stands by his earlier comments
on the TTD.
Meanwhile, his followers in Tirupati have made arrangements
for the Vishnu Sahasra Nama Parayanam at Nehru Municipal School
Grounds, here.
The programme will be held on Friday on the occasion of Bheeshma.
