Dear EO Garu,
I have recently visited Tirumala and had a very good darshan
of the Lord and enjoyed every moment of my trip. I want
to appreciate the commendable job TTD is doing. Things have
improved a lot and I can see TTD wants to help devotees
in every step.
In spite of that I had to encounter a problem. I just want
to share my experience so that no body else should have
to go through that.
My Cell phone got stolen in Srinivasam Complex – Tirupathi
When I stayed overnight in Srinivasam complex, some body
stole my cell phone while I was sleeping. Even though I
had a wonderful trip, this left me with one bad taste. When
I realized my phone was stolen, I went and asked a TTD representative
about how to lodge a complaint about lost cell phone. His
response was, go and talk to police. Subsequently I went
to Police person, he directed me to talk to his officer.
When I met his officer, his response was why you were careless
with cell phone first place. He finally lectured me with
how to be careful. He finally said go and talk to TTD.
Hence going round and round I had found no help in lodging
a complaint against theft. I thought of going to nearest
police station, but my darshan time was approaching. Hence
I could not go to Police Station. Finally I came home with
out filing any complaint. I am pretty sure this may not
be just my problem alone, it sounds like several devotees
have their stuff stolen on daily basis.
Suggestion:
a) Improve security in Srinivasam by adding camera’s
b) Provide easier access to devotees for lodging complaints
regarding lost or stolen items.
I am sure as a highest authority in Tirumala, you would
be able to take care of such things. I am sure Lord will
bless you all for all the good things you guys are doing.
