Dear Sir,
I am Kalyan Rapolu from Philadelphia, USA. I am having darsan
of Lord Sri Venkateswara since my childhood. During my childhood
days, I used to see wonderful monuments around the main Gopuram.
Now we cannot find any ancient monuments.
It is very sad to see the demolished structures in the temple
premises. The temple is a Divya desam and no single ancient
structure should be demolished. These monuments are the symbols
of great heritage of the temple. They indicate the history
related to the temple. If possible, try to improve the condition
of monuments but please do not dismantle them in the name
of 'serving devotees'. If we go on demolishing all the structure
we will be left with no single monument which describes the
history of the temple.
The temple is a Sri Vaishnava Divya desam (among 108). I dont
understand why TTD is more concentrating on the so-called
'Hindu' Dharma Pracharam. The word 'Hindu' is given by westerners
to us and basically the temple is strictly Sri Vaishnavam
only. If the administration has the ability, please do more
'pracaharam' on Sri Vaishnava concepts and try to develop
other Sri Vaishnava Divya desams which are in pathetic condition.
Regarding the 'laddu', I am not sure if the sold-out laddus
are actually offered to Lord. If not, please see that atleast
some portion of it is offered to Lord and distributed to the
devotees for free.
I am happy to see, in recent times, some sort of respect is
being given to Jeeyar Swamis of Thirumala and Thirupathi devasthanams.
It is the duty of the administration to take care of the Jeeyars
properly and follow their orders strictly.
Please give the Lord sufficient amount of time to sleep. I
admire the efforts being taken by the administration in serving
the devotees. But at the same time, we should consider about
the Lord also. He came all the way from Sri Vaikuntam for
us and it is our responsibility to take care of Him in the
best possible way. Please see that all the ancient practices
are being followed properly for the Lord.
I hope you'll give me a reply to this.
