TTD Museum official dead

Bondu Viswanatham (53), chief museum officer and formerly the in-charge director of the TTD’s Sri Venkateswara Museum, Tirupati/Tirumala has passed away here on Saturday after a prolonged illness.

He played a crucial role in making the museum scale new heights and putting in place new galleries and rare exhibits including the ‘Ivory Palanquin’. It was under his supervision that a video documentary on Tirumala Hill ranges covering its various ‘theerthas’, flora and fauna was produced. TTD’s Board Chairman B. Karunakar Reddy, E.O K.V.Ramanachary and scores of TTD officials visited his house and placed wreaths on his body.
